GoodWeave International welcomes new board members, announces governance transition
February 12, 2026WASHINGTON, DC, USA, February 12, 2026 — GoodWeave International, the leading global nonprofit organization working to end child and forced labor in global supply chains, has elected Amantia Muhedini and Kimberlee Cornett to its board of directors.

The organization also notes a board leadership transition, with Michelle Cross Fenty completing eight years of service, including time as Co-Chair, and long-time board member Charles “Chip” Lyons assuming the role.
The addition of Muhedini and Cornett strengthens the board’s expertise in business, investment, and philanthropy, supporting GoodWeave’s efforts to protect children and workers in South Asia’s carpet, home textile, and apparel supply chains.
Muhedini is Head of Sustainable & Impact Investing for CIO Investment Management Americas at UBS Global Wealth Management, where she supports clients seeking to address social and environmental challenges through their investment strategies. Her prior experience includes a Fellowship with Morgan Stanley’s Investing with Impact team, impact investing with Working Capital – The Supply Chain Innovation Fund, and grantmaking at Humanity United focused on combating forced labor in global supply chains. Muhedini serves on the Board of United World Colleges (UWC) International and was a founding board member and Acting Executive Director of UWC Albania. She holds a BA magna cum laude from Princeton University and an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
Cornett currently serves as Director of Impact Investments at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where she directs the Foundation’s $625 million allocation supporting health equity. Previously, Cornett led the Social Investment Practice at the Kresge Foundation and served as Vice President of Investment Management at Enterprise Community Investment. Earlier in her career, she was appointed a White House Fellow by President Clinton and founded a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in Virginia. Cornett serves on the Board of the Conservation Fund and as a Commissioner on the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis.
Michelle Cross Fenty, an international attorney and development banker, has stepped down from her role as GoodWeave’s board co-chair after eight years of service. She joined the organization’s board of directors in 2018 and has been a dedicated board member, supporting GoodWeave’s governance and strategic direction. Fenty currently serves as assistant general counsel at Transurban and previously led the Inter-American Development Bank in Trinidad and Tobago.
Charles “Chip” Lyons will assume the role of Board Co-Chair. Lyons is Director of the Equity Group Foundation and brings extensive leadership experience in global development, public health, and child-focused advocacy. He previously served for 15 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, where he led significant shifts in the organization’s global program and advocacy portfolio. Prior to that, Lyons held senior roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and spent more than two decades with UNICEF, including serving as President of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and as the U.S. Representative to UNICEF’s Executive Board from 2015 to 2016.
