GoodWeave’s raffle returns with two luxury rugs from NIBA Designs and Deirdre Dyson

June 11, 2026

Two lucky winners will take home more than $22,000 in prizes, with proceeds supporting efforts to end child labor and improve working conditions in South Asia.

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, June 11, 2026 — GoodWeave International has partnered with NIBA Designs and Deirdre Dyson for its annual rug raffle, giving participants the opportunity to bring home one of two luxury, handmade rugs. Opening June 11 ahead of World Day Against Child Labor, this year’s raffle marks the first time two prizes will be awarded, with a combined value of more than $22,000.

The raffle celebrates the artistry and craftsmanship of handwoven carpets while highlighting how purchasing decisions can help support more responsible supply chains. Every ticket purchased funds programs in India and Nepal’s artisan communities that help children stay in school, support the rights and livelihoods of workers and their families, and address the root causes of child labor and worker exploitation.

GoodWeave has previously partnered with leading brands and designers, including Loloi, The Rug Company, and Warp & Weft. At the center of this year’s raffle are Quintas by NIBA Designs and NOTE PAPER by Deirdre Dyson.

Quintas from NIBA Designs’ Luxe Collection is a handmade silk and New Zealand wool rug woven at 150 knots per square inch. Designed to celebrate the beauty of ultra-luxurious fibers and exceptional craftsmanship, the rug features a rich interplay of textures, from tweeded and looped areas to subtle variations in pile height. Measuring 6 x 9 feet, Quintas has a retail value of $15,660.

NOTE PAPER from Deirdre Dyson’s Paper and Stone collection is a hand-knotted Tibetan wool and silk rug inspired by a crumpled piece of lined notepaper. An organic palette of taupes, greys, and browns enhances the effect of folds and creases, bringing added dimension to the design. The rug measures 5.6 x 7.7 feet and has a retail value of $7,129.

While distinct in design, both rugs were handmade in Nepal and carry the GoodWeave label, providing the best assurance they were made without child or forced labor.

“NIBA Designs and Deirdre Dyson’s partnership with GoodWeave spans nearly two decades and reflects a shared commitment to advancing transparency and accountability in the handmade rug industry,” said Sonny Puryear, Director of Business Engagement and Marketing at GoodWeave International. “We are grateful for their generosity in donating this year’s stunning, beautifully crafted prizes and for being valued partners in advancing GoodWeave’s work and mission.”

The raffle runs through July 12, and tickets start at $25, with bonus entries included at select giving levels. Two winners will be selected through a random drawing after the raffle closes.
