Weaving Hope: Virtual Premiere, Live Panel and Q&A (coming soon)

March 11, 2026

To celebrate International Women’s Day this March, GoodWeave hosted the virtual premiere of Weaving Hope, a short documentary by filmmaker Rujuta Doshi.

Event date: Wednesday, March 11, 2026
Watch: A recording will be available soon!

Produced in collaboration with the Video Consortium and supported by the Skoll Foundation, the film is part of the 2025 Solutions Storytelling Project: Asia fellowship.

The 10-minute film follows Seema, a field facilitator in rural Rajasthan, India. Her quiet revolution is helping her village protect children while empowering the next generation of girls to find their voice. She moves between classrooms, community meetings, and home visits to keep education accessible for hundreds of children and leads girls’ groups where lessons reach far beyond those in the room. Weaving Hope offers an intimate portrait of Seema’s growing influence within a community shaped by deeply rooted gender norms and expectations.

Following the film, Seema and filmmaker Rujuta participated in a moderated panel discussion alongside representatives from GoodWeave, the Video Consortium, and the Skoll Foundation, followed by an audience Q&A.
